Abbie Martin Greenbaum is a writer, a reader, and an optimist.

Hello! It’s lovely to meet you.

Let me introduce myself. My name’s Abbie, and I write stories — often they’re about friend groups and/or coming of age a little later than you’re supposed to. Sometimes there’s a little bit of magic, because why not?

I have a B.A. in English and Cinema Studies from Oberlin College, and an M.F.A in Creative Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. I was born and raised in NYC, and I currently live in Brooklyn.

From 2018 through 2023, I worked as the Arts and Culture Editor for Dandelion Chandelier, where I covered everything from blockbusters to butter boards. I keep up with books, films, theater, and television the way that other people keep up with sports scores, and like all good millennials, I live on the internet. If you’re looking for someone to write about media with affection, insight, and attention to detail, then I’m your girl.

I wrote about Paul Taylor Dance Company for Playbill in 2022, and my debut short story “No Grown-ups” was published in Five Points Journal in May of 2024. I’m working on my first novel.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and please feel free to reach out and introduce yourself. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day!
